Description

The Senior Program manger will lead release management and cross-organizational efforts required to introduce applications and infrastructure changes into the production environment. The Senior Release Management Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for ensuring all changes are delivered to user while maintaining the integrity and availability of the existing systems. Communicate release expectations across all impacted users. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

This position owns the Dispensing Application Release Management lifecycle including scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across the dispensing environments for all supported applications. It is responsible for managing the release processes through development, test, and deployment. The position requires a high level of collaboration with the entire Dispensing Applications Team along with aligned partners that design and support the Humana Pharmacy Dispensing systems.

Manage Release Pipeline

Build and maintain the Application Release Calendar in collaboration with the Engineering PMO and Dispensing Operations leadership

Maintain the release schedule for all core applications

Conduct HPEL DA project intake meetings, Release Readiness reviews, and Milestone Reviews

Work with Release Engineering to manage project interdependencies and ensure the integrity of each deployment

Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, or quality

Develop and continuously improve release processes and guidelines

Stake Holder Communication

Publish regular release pipeline status to leadership and other stakeholders

Communicate release plans, schedules, and outcomes across all impacted stakeholders and users

Communicate changes to requirements, schedule, QA plans, and release scope

Participate in individual project and/or CAB meetings to discuss release scope and status

Govern Releases

Monitor and track releases

Develop and maintain release management metrics

Develop and maintain release policies and guidelines

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

5 or more years of project and/or release management experience

Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge and practice

Superior organizational skills

Effective analytical skills

Advanced written and verbal communication

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office (expert level knowledge of Excel a plus)

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree (MBA)

Demonstrated experience with process documentation

Prior experience with supporting other complex projects

PMI Project Management Professional certification

Certified SCRUM Master

Experience using Azure DevOps
