This team is responsible for implementing & rolling out high performing & scalable cloud native multi-tenant service with an unified API and data storage to manage application states and key-value lookup tables needed by the Splunk core\u2019s distributed searches.You thrive in a dynamic environment and have a track record of technical expertise and management responsibility. The primary goal of this job is to enable every team member to do the best work of their lives.Roles And ResponsibilitiesYou will nurture an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.You will diagnose and resolve systemic obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality software.Partner with your manager, architect, product manager, and peers to ensure alignment of your team\u2019s work in delivering search improvements to customers.Participate in an on-call rotation supporting the engineers that are on-call for customer issues.You will work with technical architects and team to craft thoughtful approaches to evolve the availability, performance & scalability in large multi-tenant deployments.You will meet 1-1 with team members on a regular basis.You will plan and support career development.You will recruit and retain great developers.Requirements2 years of management experience and 8 years of professional experience with a Bachelor\u2019s degree; or equivalent practical experienceExperience developing and delivering scalable systems software solutions.You have proven people management and leadership skills, and a proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members to be successful.You are passionate about building and encouraging good engineering practices and processes, like version control, test-driven development, continuous integration, and build/test/release automation.You have a good foundation in backend systems, storage, filesystem, distributed systems and information retrieval.You have been responsible for one or more services in the cloud.Experience in cloud native technologies and running cloud-based services & working with Cloud operations.A plus if you have experience with Kubernetes technologies, Puppet, Terraform and Database technologies such as SQL, RDS, SQS, PostgresDB, AuroraDB and so onWhat We Offer YouA constant stream of new things for you to learn.
