What is the role?

The Regional Marketing Activation Manager is responsible for executing the regional marketing strategy for Shell Lubricants while serving as the liaison between the LATAM Marketing Director and the local marketing teams in the countries Shell Lubricants offers their portfolio. This role works to understand the local lubricant market and customer needs to set business priorities and build an annual marketing plan to support it. Need to be a strong executer as one of the main responsibilities for this role is the flawless execution of the annual marketing plan, management of marketing budget, and development of new initiatives to accelerate the Premium journey in this category. Strong analytical mind set to translate market data into useful insights and advice for decision makers.

As a Regional Marketing Activation Manager, you will be responsible of the following duties:

Lead the marketing annual business plan (ABP) process to cascade regional marketing strategies into local marketing plans and activities that will support the volume targets for each geography.

Secure the full completion of competitor assessment and market analysis with the aim of identifying growth opportunities to help support the business goals.

Support the Distributor Account Manager (DAM) in seeking alignment from the Macro Distributor (MD) leadership team around the key business priorities and marketing activities that will support the delivery of the ABP.

Manage the relationship with the MD marketing team, secure the implementation of key marketing initiatives, and monitor results against MD KPI’s

Lead the growth across three sectors: Consumer, Commercial, and Industrial, and develop a marketing plan that support the growth targets and regional strategies for each sector.

Lead the aggressive market share growth expected in Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador in the Consumer sector, with heavy focus on developing Shell brand in the motorcycle market.

Serve as gate keeper of MDs communications, ensuring compliance in use of tools, ways of communication, as well as in the use of the Shell brands while making Shell message relevant for local market needs.

Negotiate marketing plan budget allocation with MD based on business priorities and level of investment agreed upon during ABP planning process.

Control MD marketing plan execution and budget spend, tracking monthly activities through ROI analysis to improve future marketing spent.

Skills and Requirements

What we need from you -

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Must have residency in Miami, FL

Minimum of 8 to 10 (eight to ten) years of working experience in fields such as Trade marketing, Activation marketing, or commercial roles. Preferred candidates will have professional experience in B2C Lubricants or Consumer Goods (Food and Beverage) industries.

Bachelor’s Degree in Admin, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Marketing is required

Candidate must be knowledgeable in Trade Marketing Activation or Marketing Activation

Must be fluent in Spanish and English, verbal and written proficiency

Must have strong influential skills and ability to negotiate different priorities with a collaborative approach

Community engagement experience and stakeholder relationship management skill are a must

Solid verbal and written communications, ability to represent the business externally, including interactions with partners

Ideal candidate will have some knowledge or marketing experience in Central America & Caribbean Markets
