Job Summary

Responsible for identifying and strategizing plans to achieve long-term goals and objectives of the organization. Recommends the allocation of resources to existing businesses; identifies merger and acquisition opportunities. Plans the overall direction and financial planning of the Strategic Planning department. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Develops Company's overall strategy and leads high-priority strategic initiatives. Communicates strategy in a meaningful way and develops objectives to align with the strategy.

Identifies, evaluates and recommends specific merger and acquisition opportunities; supports the execution of transactions and oversees post-merger integration efforts.

Contributes to business development and partnership discussions, including distribution, technology/product, content and monetization deals. Recommends strategic actions. Conducts business development discussions with potential partners.

Oversees business modeling and long-range financial planning.

Manages web analytics, reporting, yield management, forecasting and data strategy.

Evaluates the economics and business models of specific products/services, companies and industry sectors.

Oversees projects for environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses and other studies related to Company's growth and profitability.

Develops and provides guidance to Strategic Planning team.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Education

Master's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
