OVERALL GOAL:
Partners with cross-functional teams to design and optimize core business processes and methods across Tyson's transactional/headquarter environment.
SUMMARY:
The Business Process Manager (BPM) executes critical activities to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within our core business processes, leveraging agile, lean, and six sigma thinking. These activities include designing/redesigning processes, identifying system enhancements, establishing KPIs, and leading strategic initiatives. In addition, the BPM is accountable for planning, facilitating workshops/kaizen events, quantifying impact, problem-solving, implementing actions alongside the business functions, and tracking initiatives until completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
Applies business and process engineering knowledge to improve cost savings, quality, schedule attainment, and risk mitigation.
Leads and facilitates cross-functional, collaborative teams in business improvement and optimizing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the KPI.
Utilizes broad knowledge of customers, products, and processes to support business problem analysis and determine the best methodology to resolve defects or issues.
Coaches leaders and team members on process improvement methodologies
Analyzes processes to identify areas of improvement root cause analysis and provides appropriate analytics to prioritize business effort.
Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues while navigating obstacles to deliver work products.
Act as lead project manager on select initiatives
Trains (as needed) TMs on agile, lean, and six sigma themes related to the implementation of their projects
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Four years of process improvement directly related to business experience in a transactional environment, preferably working across multi-functional or end-to-end processes
Demonstrated use of statistics, Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Process Modeling tools (SIPOC, VOC, Process Mapping, Process Requirements)
Demonstrated analytical skills, running scenarios, and building simulation models (Financial or Operational)
Experience with leading Kaizen/workshops with strong facilitation skills
Preferred Experience:
Ability to independently structure and manage process improvement projects
Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification with practical application of concepts on real projects
Ability to translate and summarize process insights and complex data into simple, understandable, actionable information and recommendations
Ability to define the accurate problem statement, separate real issue from issue symptoms
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master (Agile)
Software experience with Power Bi, Minitab, Teams, Mural & Visio
Travel Expectation:
Ability to travel up to 80% if based outside Springdale, AR
