Position Summary
Under Armour has an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage Under Armour’s growing Supplier Diversity Program as part of the ongoing commitment to accelerate the broader Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) strategy. The Supplier Diversity Lead will be a centralized resource responsible for working to increase the spend with Diverse Businesses at Under Armour.
The Supplier Diversity Lead will have the primary responsibility of prioritizing and aligning Supplier Diversity within Procurement’s broader strategies. This position will have primary responsibility to incorporate diverse suppliers at every stage of the supplier engagement process, support sourcing processes, identify qualified diverse suppliers, manage relationships with councils, facilitate diverse supplier development, work with internal business leaders to promote Supplier Diversity, connect qualified suppliers to opportunities, and track success metrics. They will work closely with the Director of Strategic Procurement to flag and resolve any conflicts or issues. The Supplier Diversity Lead will be responsible for ensuring that Supplier Diversity tools, metrics, policies, training, and knowledge management capabilities are properly supporting procurement processes, driving value for Under Armour, and enabling the growth of the Supplier Diversity program.
The Supplier Diversity Lead will need to work closely with all Strategic Procurement team members, driving efforts to enhance the incorporation of diverse suppliers in sourcing processes. The Lead will frequently interface with individuals from multiple business units across Under Armour. Strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate with all levels, as well as both internal and external teammates, will help this person to be successful in the role.
A successful candidate will be adept at identifying strong opportunities to both grow relationships with existing diverse suppliers and connect qualified potential new diverse vendors with new Under Armour opportunities. They will continue to drive process improvement opportunities, inform creative solutions, analyze data, and develop insights that inform decision-making. The Supplier Diversity Lead will ideally possess knowledge and experience in understanding Diversity Designations and the diverse supplier certification process, performance measurement and tracking, process improvement, policy implementation, knowledge management, tracking towards key metrics, and best practice research and application. As the Supplier Diversity Lead will facilitate many different workstreams simultaneously, this individual will need to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program Goals & Visibility
Develop strategy and governance for tracking the performance of Supplier Diversity Goals and Metrics (e.g. spend with and number of diverse vendors, participation in RFPs etc.)
Maintain accountability for ongoing reporting from supplier diversity dashboards, including executive-level summaries and diversity scorecards
Coordinate Procurement Supplier Diversity efforts with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team to validate the impact of Supplier Diversity efforts and facilitate related tracking and reporting
Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Management
Connect vendors to relevant procurement and business unit teams and increase internal visibility of diverse suppliers
Identify diverse suppliers by actively utilizing 3rd party identification tools, council memberships, historical vendor databases, and other methods
Develop and oversee sourcing calendar and pipeline of sourcing activities to ensure diverse suppliers are given maximum opportunity to participate in sourcing events
Supplier Management
Serve as liaison between interested diverse vendors and the Procurement Team
Promote the certification of potentially diverse suppliers and educate them on the importance of registering as a diverse supplier
Training & Education
Work with Procurement Director to establish training objectives, develop materials, and lead relevant Supplier Diversity training
Ensure Procurement team has access to sufficient tools, technology and training to effectively include and utilize the services of diverse vendors
Communications Management
Work with Under Armour Communications, Executive Leadership, and DE&I teams to messaging to report progress of the supplier diversity program
Continue to grow relationships with Supplier Development Councils, coordinate networking events, and utilize additional resources available within Under Armour’s diversity network
Potential Additional Responsibilities:
Lead other Procurement-related special projects, initiatives, or sustainability efforts as needed

Education And / Or Experience
3 years of experience in corporate diversity, procurement or another relevant field (e.g. consulting, operations, supply chain, or finance)
Experience with corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Engineering or related field
Experience in and/or exposure to Finance and Accounting
Other Requirements
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
Work-Life Integration Designation : Two (2) days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
