What We’re Looking For:
Project Managers are responsible for coordinating internal and external resources for the streamlined execution of technology and IT construction projects. They understand the work that needs to be done, coordinate cross-team collaboration, and proactively identify risks and work to address them.
This position will report into 2U’s IT team; a team dedicated to providing robust, scalable and deliberate solutions to all 2U employees that will directly lead to overall success, facilitate growth and drive outcomes in meaningful ways.
This position requires being in our Lanham, MD office 2 or more days per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop project plans in consultation and collaboration with stakeholders.
Ensure all project activities are completed on schedule and budget
Monitor project performance to ensure successful completion
Independently and proactively flagging risks, troubleshooting and resolving them before they turn into issues wherever possible and escalating when not possible
Facilitating communication and coordination across Corporate IT teams
Familiarity with tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
Ability to perceive and alleviate conflict and tension.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Demonstrated success leading complex efforts
Strong written and verbal communication skills, exhibiting professionalism in both internal and external documentation
Experience managing multiple projects and relationships, including working with challenging stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree required
2 or more years experience as a Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager
Other Attributes That Will Help You in This Role:
Formal understanding of Project Management conventions and techniques, including managing to a detailed schedule or backlog of work
Conversant with Agile project frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
Previous experience leading a project or initiative
Motivated self starter who is keen to hit the ground running
An ability to navigate complex environments with many moving pieces
Ability to think on-your-feet with an eye and ear for detail
An ability to motivate people around shared goals
A commitment to continuous improvement in process
Negotiation & creative problem-solving
Knowledge of interior commercial construction and competency in reviewing and understanding blueprints are a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($81,200 -$117,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
