SUMMARY:
This position works closely with cross functional teams and must demonstrate the necessary interpersonal and planning skills to partner with them (i.e. Sales, Margin Management, Strategy & Planning, Business Units/Marketing, Demand Planning) in an effort to align objectives, needs and activities that will be used to develop a value added strategy and export business plan to drive growth.
Essential Duties:
Perform analysis to track business progress, development of tactics to achieve growth objectives, collaboration with domestic teams and field sales to ensure aligned execution and goal attainment
Establish and maintain relationships with international sales and US BU's to facilitate understanding and effective supply, demand and order management
Manage the forecast for export product using historical demand and sales collaboration; Add intelligence to the forecast and manage additional market information: Include future sales and marketing promotions account for sales forecast overrides and customer input and collaborate with sales people to validate all forecast intelligence.
Facilitates key customer innovation needs including vetting opportunities with BU's, writing Product Development Briefs, hosting kick-off meetings and being the customer's advocate during the innovation process. Includes coordination and collaboration with BU Innovation teams and Sales throughout the Innovation process to ultimately deliver the right product in a timely manner.
Develop, manage, and activate best-in-class sales-facing written, digital, and video communication to drive easy and impactful execution with minimal disruptions to the selling process.
Work closely with sales leaders to identify development opportunities for their sales teams on building knowledge and Know-How regarding creating solutions that solve customer needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or business related field preferred
Experience: 7 years of experience. Industry and/or product knowledge in regards to product categories, specification, processing and forecasting
Computer Skills: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on building Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
Special Skills: Ability to lead by influence; motivate and inspire enthusiasm; successful conflict resolution skills; multi-tasking abilities; knowledge of International markets; knowledge of Food Service and Retail industries; capable of making decisions with limited data using good business intuition; keen listener; open minded with strong interpersonal skills; sales and customer centric.
T ravel: Could include 6 trips per year, both domestic and international travel.
