Aon is hiring a Client Advocate to support the Reinsurance business In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to provide world class customer experience and be a part of the best-in-class client services team in the reinsurance industry. We are looking for a candidate who is excited to lead a team of technicians that support our clients wherein you are the dedicated advocate for your clients and build and implement your individual career development plan with dedicated mentors that will assist you along the way. Position Responsibilities The primary responsibilities for this position are listed below. Additional responsibilities may be added at a later date. Assist our clients in the notifications and explanations to reinsurers of individually reported claims, complex claims and/or catastrophe claimsOversee and manage premium in excess of $1m on behalf of your dedicated clients Manage the reinsurance assets of our valued clients, including Fortune 500 companiesWork closely with the sales team to provide world class customer experienceLead a team of technicians that support our clients wherein you are the dedicated advocate for your clientsOpportunity to travel domestically to client offices to manage and coordinate claim auditsAssist with complex coverage issues and resolving differences by providing contract interpretation, claim information and potential negotiationsHelp reinsurers understand claims and claim issues across many lines of businessBecome proficient in claims and reinsurance accountingBe an excellent communicator with client, brokers and reinsurersDevelop communication skillsPut together presentationsOrganize and manage critical claim meetingsAttend industry conferencesAssist Clients (and client’s insureds) with large catastrophe eventsSecure millions of dollars of collections for your clients every yearBe part of a team that manages over $20B in ceded reserves per yearManage collateral on behalf of your clients – often in excess of multiple millions of dollars per yearExcellent on-boarding program and continuous training opportunitiesAdditional responsibilities: Set realistic and stretch targets for team as defined by senior leadership which accurately reflect market conditions and opportunities.Work with team members to strengthen existing relationships with ceding companies.Monitor and facilitate external relationships with reinsurers and the London bureau market, as well as internal relationships with Sales and regional and global offices.Communicate with team members, sales team, internal regional and global offices, reinsurers and ceding companies to resolve problems, answer questions, and provide assistance and support.Promote liaison with ceding companies to offer guidance and assistance with their premium and pro rata reporting.Identify and work toward resolving problem situations and disputes, including Sanctioned territories.Prepare documentation and take an active role in periodic reviews related to local regulatory requirements, resolving issues arising out of the review meetings.Prepare and/or review various performance management reports to ensure customer service standards are met and take action, where appropriate.Act as Aon champion in Market Steering Groups.Prepare and deliver annual and ongoing performance appraisals.Monitor team budget for hiring, travel, entertainment and other expenses.Responsible for coaching and motivating team members; working with local HR business partner for team members to create development plans.Ensure the team and the process flow remain compliant with local regulatory requirements.Ensure timely completion of mandatory Aon University modules.Provide assistance with system design and testing.Compile data; organize and schedule Client Services meetings. Assist in coordinating with Sales teams travel requirements for Client Services staff visiting ceding companies, as appropriate.Perform special projects, as needed.Other duties, as assigned.
