General Summary
Working as part of Automotive Product Management team to coordinate and define the requirements for ADAS and Autonomous Driving products, systems. The responsibilities include managing automotive roadmaps and product execution. The candidate would be working on the aspects of the processes and practices for the development of safe automotive products. As part of the role, candidate would be working with other automotive teams – SoC, hardware platforms, software tools and frameworks – for standalone ADAS solutions and integration of ADAS functions in cockpit domains.
The responsibilities include:
Leading and defining the automotive product roadmap of hardware and software products for ADAS and cockpit systems.
Working with customers and internal engineering teams on customer RFI, RFQs, system level use case modelling and analysis
Customer focused role encompassing technical product marketing as well as business development, showcasing the current and future roadmap of automotive safety products
Building ecosystem partners for hardware and software safety components like Autosar, needed for automotive platforms.
Define and identify safety goals for the ADAS products and decompose them to specific safety goals for hardware platform, SoCs, PMICs and software components.
Work with functional safety manager and engineering leads to evaluate, develop, implement and assess the process and standards for automotive safety
Work with IP leads and team to drive technology roadmap for automotive requirements
Develop risk management strategies and plans and monitor effectiveness
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years Product Management or related work experience, completing full cycle of products from concept to commercialization
5 years of experience in automotive product architecture, product management with experience in taking customers from initial concept to production
5 years of experience in automotive software development, use case analysis, system level modelling
2 years of experience in safety qualification of hardware and software components
2 years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
2 years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
Experience in customer engagements and product marketing in Automotive
Experience managing complete cycle of Product Requirements Document to Change Requests to prioritization of commercial feature requests
Experience on safety operating systems, safety hypervisors and device drivers
Experience with relevant standards and regulations (ex. SOTIF, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, NCAP, FMVSS, MISRA, AUTOSAR etc)
Ability to effectively evangelize Qualcomm products to customers, work with customer RFI/RFQ and translate that into successful design-ins in collaboration with product management, sales, engineering, legal and finance teams.
Effective communication skills with cross functional teams, both technical and non-technical, within a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative environment
Physical Requirements
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
