We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager, who has experience selling technology related services and solutions to State & Local agencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region (D.C., MD, VA, NC), to join our Client Services Group.

Position Description:

The primary focus of the Business Development Manager will be to identify, qualify and win new business opportunities, and manage and organically grow our current portfolios, with Public Sector agencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The successful candidate will, therefore, have expertise in the mission objectives, program operations and business processes of these agencies, and be intimately familiar with life cycle acquisition processes that drive the Government technology capture process.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to offer the customer unique perspectives, have strong two-way communication skills, understand the clients value drivers and business economics and be able to have an effective conversation in regards technology services, offerings and solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

8 to 10 years of business development and account management experience, which must include selling technology related services and solutions, such as new implementations, migrations, legacy modernizations, to State and Local Government agencies in D.C., MD, VA,, NC.

Able to demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and to communicate this knowledge accurately and effectively at all levels.

Willing to undertake an extensive amount of business related travel.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education, Candidate's that have completed a Master's degree program strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience selling technology related services and solutions to State and Local Government agencies, such as Health & Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Previous experience in a Technology Lead, Project Manager, Architect or similar technical position.

Good understanding of IT Projects Life Cycles and emerging technologies such as Cloud Infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Block Chain. Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, from an accredited institution.

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
