What We’re Looking For:
2U is seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong project management, Agile experience and communication skills to join our Technology Project Management Office (PMO). 2U Technical Project Managers serve as business experts who will leverage their project management and technical skills to deliver projects aligned with business priorities and business processes.
You will be embedded within 2U’s Customer Operations Technology Portfolio and work with Product and Engineering teams to raise the bar for our suite of tools supporting external and internal user needs. Our
Customer Operations team is responsible for the software systems used primarily by our internal operational and user facing support teams — Marketing, Admissions, Student Success, Faculty Success, Placements, University Services, and Online Technical Support.

you know how to navigate complex projects and work across cross-functional teams. You have a keen eye for details and you thrive in fast-paced environments by bringing organized structure to them. You aren’t afraid to roll-up your sleeves when managing multiple projects of varying complexity and are organized to methodically track each milestone and deliverable. You are results-driven and enjoy seeing your projects come to fruition by ultimately delivering a great product.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Work within the Customer Operations Portfolio to ensure teams are identifying and executing on appropriate business priorities identified on the product roadmap and maintaining a consistent velocity, following Agile best practices (40%)
Ensure project plans are established and maintained through the project / product lifecycle (20%)
Ensure tight alignment of activities across functional teams through cross-functional planning, regular communications, and status updates (20%)
Drive a practice of continuous improvement within the Portfolio - use data to diagnose issues and drive constant improvement in operational efficiency and team velocity (20%)
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computers Science or a related discipline.
5 years experience in project/program management in education operations, publishing, or a related field.
Experience with Salesforce/CRM systems.
Comfort and experience with complex data ecosystems and ETL processes.
Experience with complex business process design.
Proven experience working in an Agile environment, in a variety of positions – team member, Scrum master.
Demonstrated expertise in Agile / Scrum frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc) and experience training an organization to embrace these methodologies across numerous projects and product cycles.
Experience with project management and Agile tools including Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Lucid Charts.
Superior editing, writing, and critical reasoning skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and presence. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly.
Confident decision-making skills and an ability to lead people in order to get results.
Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.
