Position Summary

The SEO Manager works closely with the Senior SEO Strategist / Lead to execute day-to-day tasks as outlined in the SEO strategy provided to our clients. This role requires experience with technical SEO, a strong understanding of on-and-off page ranking factors, and familiarity with keyword research and backlink analysis tools. (Three plus years of experience specific to SEO is required.)

Functions and Responsibilities:

Assist Senior SEO Strategist in executing day-to-day SEO strategy for given accounts.

Manage and execute client SEO campaigns.

Perform on-page optimization tactics including content recommendations, updating page headlines, meta titles, meta descriptions, alt tags, schema code, and more.

Work with Project Managers to provide clients with visibility into SEO campaigns and results.

Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities and research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success.

Establish relationships with third party websites and reputed partners to leverage for link building opportunities.

Manage link building campaigns.

Audit client websites to identify problem areas for search engine crawlers or opportunities for optimization.

Stay up-to-date on key search trends, tools, and resources. Keep informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to clients.

Communication of results, recommendations, and requests to clients in an operational capacity.

Skills Traits Abilities:

Excitement to work with an entrepreneurial digital agency. Agency experience preferred.

Bachelors or advanced degree.

3 years of experience in Digital Marketing with a background in SEO.

Strong understanding of SEO guidelines and marketing best practices.

Strong knowledge and experience with keyword research and backlink analysis tools.

Knowledge and experience with Google products, particularly Google Analytics and Search Console. Google Analytics Certification preferred but not required.

Web crawler knowledge and experience required.

Ability to derive SEO strategy based on keyword research findings or competitor analysis.

Strategic and creative thinking – always focusing on innovative, but measurable client solutions.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
