Job Summary

Responsible for developing and supporting customer-centric, data-driven strategies for new and existing Comcast Business security & networking products, services and solutions. Partners closely with product management, sales, divisions and range of internal partners to develop product & solution strategies that drive product/solution differentiation and deliver growth targets. Takes a leading role in stewarding consumer insights work to inform product/solution value propositions & positioning to ensure they deliver on identified business consumer needs and opportunities for differentiation. Drives commercial value-driven prioritization to ensure strategic focus on products/solutions that deliver highest commercial, brand, and customer experience value.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to develop and implement strategies to bring new products and product enhancements to market within the Security and Networking product categories. Inform the product roadmap in these areas based on business consumer insights, provide direction on segmentation opportunities, analyze market trends and segments to effectively position products, develop product marketing strategies and translate technical details into benefits.

Owns product/solution marketing strategies for Comcast Business Security & Networking (SD-WAN) products & solutions in partnership with product management organization & range of internal stakeholders.

Provides the high-level thinking, planning, and guide the research that happens before a product goes to market. This leader has an in-depth knowledge of target markets and how to best introduce the product leveraging market research, market environment & industry trends, and competitive analysis to develop market strategies.

Takes a leading role in partnering with Research & Insights to ensure business consumer, competitive, and frontline insights, market environment analysis, industry trends inform product/solution strategies and prioritization of proof points including validation of key points of differentiation.

Serves as an innovation partner to product management organization, contributes to shaping strategy & direction to deliver differentiation in the marketplace; must be experienced and skilled in collaborating and integrating with product organization and operating cross functionally to drive business results.

Responsible for delivering quarterly and annual security & networking product marketing plans & prioritizing product/solution enhancements and new product introductions.

Partners closely with Brand Marketing, Sales Enablement, and other marketing partners to ensure strategic prioritization is represented in end-to-end marketing plans & GTM approach.

Manages and directs Marketing team and ensures that production meets the budgeted level and meets program objectives, including timely delivery of objectives.

Ensures the competence and continuity of qualified Marketing staff through optimum selection, training and development, appraisal, and motivation techniques.

Serves as the department liaison and Subject Matter Expert to Engineering, Field Marketing, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales.

Participates in strategic plan development and building of alliances with industry partners, networks etc. as needed to achieve product growth objectives. Influences sales channel incentives through offer strategy. Consults with Marketing/Sales to identify, define, size, and prioritize strategic analytics opportunities.

Works closely with customer care, Sales, Finance and Legal teams to assist with development and implementation of core business, competitive and new product marketing plans, and strategies to achieve all subscriber and revenue growth goals. Provides guidance to local/external analysts to ensure strategic alignment, effective use, and development of resources.

Oversees and develops financial models in designing packaging and pricing to ensure competitive position in market.

Develops new ideas and communicates potential uses for analytics across the business. Communicates learning/recommendations and obtains buy-in from Sales, Marketing, and senior leaders. Develops measurement systems for programs.

Oversees the recruiting, hiring, and evaluating of the Marketing staff to ensure that the appropriate level of support is available and maintained.

Maintains and improves ongoing marketing programs, analyses, and reports.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Subject matter expertise in b2b technology, Security & Networking.

Understanding of how a product is sold and the channels they are sold into.

Strong understanding of technical languages and proven ability to translate from developers and product teams to front-line sales teams.

Proven track record working with and influencing cross-functional teams, as well as establishing an internal network of relationships at all levels of the organization to drive results.

Possesses the ability to understand financial metrics and apply them towards marketing plans for budget and margin assurance purposes.

Demonstrated success in managing a complex workload with multiple priorities and tight deadlines with a focus on measuring results and improving performance.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong executive presence.
