Description

The Manager, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution processes and dispenses or directly supports the processing and dispensing of Traditional and Over The Counter prescription orders to be mailed to patients' homes and handles complex and/or escalated issues. The Manager, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Mail Order/OTC Pharmacy Distribution resolves problems related to drug interactions, dependencies, and department processes. Analyzes distribution and supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Assists Pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing directly or through program/process development. May contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into pharmacy system. Complies with all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 5:30PM to 2:00AM

Required Qualifications

6 or more years of Mail Order Pharmacy or Manufacturing Experience required

2 or more years of management experience

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Pharmacy Tech Licensure

Bachelor's Degree
