Summary:
This position is responsible for directing Rendering Operations, training supervisors in all facets of production operations. Accountable for performance in safety, quality, turnover, bid movement and Team Member morale.
Responsible for managing production supervisor’s, department production schedules, CCP and verification schedules. Ensure daily completion of production paperwork, yields, time and attendance and disciplines. Develop and support plans to reduce turnover and absenteeism and ensure execution of the safety program. Must have working knowledge of Rendering processing operations, basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification. Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel in the plant including management, government officials, customers, team members and support staff, other duties as assigned. Must be a strong team leader with the ability to motivate your team. Requires strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Requires computer skills in MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Requires good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to access all areas of Rendering. Must be able to climb rail cars, fixed ladders, stairs, overhead cat walks and platforms with fall protection when appropriate. Environmental conditions are seasonal with temperatures ranging from 20- with snow and ice to 90 degrees in summer.

High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor s degree preferred.
Must have 2 years’ work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork processing facility and 1 years’ experience in a supervisory role, preferably in Rendering.
