SUMMARY

Eagle Eye, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Assistant Project Manager to support our various construction projects from our Las Vegas, Nevada office. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for a multitude of construction-oriented tasks such as design review, and recommendations, construction and contract administration, site visits, site and subcontractor management, QC and safety inspections, and producing detailed reports. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Support of Project Management team with various construction activities, to include but not limited to, plan reviews, subcontractor vetting, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, quality control, and safety processes.

Help coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.

Support of Project Management team to ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

Help determine project scopes and objectives based on government RFPs, and engineered drawings and specifications. 

Help ensure resource availability and proper allocation.

Help use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

Assist in measurement of project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

Support consistent reporting and communication with project team and stakeholders.

Support communication with the client and stakeholders.

Assist with risk management to minimize project risks.

Help establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Perform other related duties as assigned by Project Management team.

Review and interpretation of design iterations for various divisions of construction.

Work may include site visits to determine existing conditions for various sites, and produce report(s) detailing findings and recommendations in accordance with Specifications/RFPs/Scope of Work.

Must have demonstrated strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and high-level analytical and problem solving skills.

Must have demonstrated the ability to think strategically, multi-task, understands processes, and work in a fast-paced, changing environment under extreme deadlines.

Provide support of technical reviews.

Attend, facilitate, and coordinate required meetings and progress updates.

Enforcing vendor and subcontractor contracts within the context of the project.

Reviewing proposals, specifications and drawings, preparing lists of bid items and quantities, and determining scopes of work.

Estimating extra work items and change orders.

Reviewing contracts for accuracy and completeness.

Reviewing subcontractor and vendor proposals for complete scopes of work and accurate pricing.

Create and generate other formal reports in support of construction activities.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Strong construction background supporting project teams.

Current CQM certification

Current OSHA 30 certification

Solid technical background, with understanding of basic construction methodology.

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Strong working knowledge of construction management software, preferably Plangrid.

Must be able to obtain military base passes and be able to operate motor vehicles on military installation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a must.

Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Strong organization skills.

Strong attention to detail is a must.

Maintaining good attendance, (punctuality) and actively participating with a positive attitude is essential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to perform in a fast pace environment.

Valid Driver's license with good driving record.

Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

The ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

The ability to perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information, files and document processing.

The ability to positively represent the organization to customers, the public, the government and other external sources. This information may be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.

The ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.

Preferred

3 years of construction experience, with 1 year of assistant project management experience, or comparable experience.

Applicant is local to the Las Vegas area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Portions of work will take place at a work station in a climate-controlled environment. Other portions of work will take place on active construction site

Work environments outside of office are occasionally moderate to very loud.

Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (cold and hot).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. 

The wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment mitigates risks associated with these conditions and is mandatory.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
