Job Name: IT Product Owner
Job Summary: The IT Product Owner ensures delivery of products that meet customer/end-user requirements and deliver value to Schlumberger Operations, management, and functions. They develop and maintain a vision for the product, communicating that vision to the Scrum team, being responsible for the product features from concept to end-of-life. They furthermore coordinate with Key Process Owner, Architects, customer, and development teams to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. The IT Product Owner ensures the design, usability, quality, and delivery of a product or feature, acting as key decision maker on priorities and design, and making sure stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle and acts as an authority on both the engineering and business domain for product releases and represent the end user’s needs.
The technology Product Owner guides the definition of the manufacturing processes with a SAP solution that integrates Demand Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Warehousing , and Quality Management with other business systems. The core focus is to identify GAPS & required solutions between the current manufacturing landscape and the SAP Global Template. The responsibilities would include the following:
Coordinate with Product Architects and Key Process Owner teams to translate business requirements into user stories for implementation by development teams.
Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
Coordinate with Project Managers and Technical Leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure they understand the product vision and are designing valuable features for Schlumberger operations and functions.
Develop detailed specifications for product features, making sure they are understood by the development teams.
Inspire and motivate development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions.
Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, as well as the primary technical contact for queries related to the product.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to ensure successful product releases.
Guides the definition of the SAP design to facilitate conversion of exiting TECH manufacturing plant to the SAP platform. Requires detailed understanding of the manufacturing work flows in the following areas:
Demand management: Sales order receipts, whether intercompany or third-party sales into the MRP system for production scheduling. This includes trade compliance and customs documentation.
Master Data management: configuration of Bills of materials, traceability settings (batch/serial), planning parameters, and product costing.
Procurement management: configuration of supplier settings and purchasing information records to support purchase order process of materials.
MRP Management and Production execution: detailed planning and scheduling of sales orders and production orders. Release of production orders to the shop floor with order execution for progress and efficiency tracking.
Quality Management: Quality assurance processes with calibrated equipment controls. Quality documentation management as well as nonconformance controls and resolution.
Warehousing: Goods receipt, storage and shipping processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Masters degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Industry relevant certifications
At least 15 years of experience in Relevant experience of which 5 years specializing in SAP products & technologies
At least 10 years managerial experience in MFG.
In-depth understanding of HR practices, processes, and information architecture.
Experience in business systems solutioning including technology evaluations, build vs buy decisions, trade-off analysis
