Best Buy is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager,
knowledgeable in Agile software development practices, to take a lead role within the BestBuy.com Multi-Channel Order (MCO) organization.
The team is focused on providing clear and concise experiences for our customers while transacting with BestBuy – primarily on BestBuy.com but also across multiple channels and devices.
This leadership role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new features and capabilities in the MCO space and ensuring quality delivery into production. But beyond features and capabilities that drive measurable growth, this role will be instrumental in helping craft new eCommerce strategies that help shape BestBuy for the next 5-10 years. This individual will have deep stakeholder management responsibilities with BestBuy’s eCommerce teams as well as other key team members from across the organization. The role will report directly to a product director in the Multi-Channel Order organization and may have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day to day product team activities, driving high quality customer experiences and exploring what is possible with evolving digital products, devices and tools
Effectively translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, and product specifications that deliver against our core customer value propositions and our company strategic, OKRs and financial goals
Manage the creation and maintenance of user stories and business requirements for new features and enhancements leveraging multiple work streams.
Work within a matrix organization collaborating with business stakeholders, user experience (UX) teams, project managers, and other relevant eCommerce and business teams
Analyze and provide reporting metrics to inform leadership of product growth and to help drive day to day decision making
Consult as subject matter expert (SME) with business stakeholders
Manage a team of product managers in day-to-day activities. In addition, mentor product team in an effort to grow overall product competency of team.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 yrs. experience relevant Product Management Experience (Dev, UX, Strategy, etc.)
1 years direct people mgmt. and team management / leadership
1 yrs. relevant experience in strategy creation, customer focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
Proven ability to articulate clear and concise requirements for new products and new features
Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and leverage that analysis to make data driven product decisions
Proven ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision
Proven ability to influence cross functional team(s) without formal authority
Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of project execution; completing and shipping excellent products on time and on budget
Experience and strong understanding of the software development cycle, design research and A/B testing methods, and web analytics
2 or more years of people management experience
Ability to understand basic and complex architectural diagrams and data flows
Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with medium to large teams to achieve a common goal
Experience with varied production methodologies such as forms of Agile development and/or Lean Development
Knowledge of user experience trends and digital consumer behaviors
Familiarity with financial concepts and financial/budget management
Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
