A role with Target Promotion Marketing
means that you’ll be part of a team that leads Target’s Value communication strategy and brings holistic promotional and value stories to life for Target’s guests. The team has a broad range of responsibilities including strategy planning & development, creative, execution and production. Promotion Marketing leverages a variety of print and digital media and is responsible for Target’s Weekly Ad, Digital Weekly Ad, Deal Finder Campaign and Printing Services.
As a Senior Manager Promotions Marketing
, you will lead the value communication strategy for your designated business and seasonal campaigns guided by guest, competitive and business objectives. In partnership with the Pricing and Promotions Center of Excellence (PPCOE), you will identify top deal stories each week and guide on marketing support across paid external and owned channels. Your work will fuel promotional marketing campaigns that you will lead and drive and
influence Category and Brand marketing campaigns influenced by Media and Marketing Effectiveness, Guest Insights and business results. You will leverage your strategic thought, understanding of the business and clear communication to build relationships across Merchandising and Marketing that enable guest-centric strategies to be realized.
About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of related work experience; agency, brand marketing or merchandising experience preferred
Self-starter with strong decision making skills and ability to lead a team
Ability to manage and lead team members through change
Proactively identifies areas of opportunity and takes action to drive change and improvement to close knowledge and process gaps as needed
A natural problem solver with contagious curiosity for consumer, business and competitive trends
Ability to interpret data and apply critical thinking to make media, content and budget decisions from learnings
