Best Buy is seeking a Sr. Product Manager – Talent Management & Performance
to join the People Product Technology team to lead high performing teams of Product Managers and drive the roadmap serving the transformation of HR capabilities.
The Talent Management & Performance product team will drive technology modernization, deliver improved employee experiences, & enable strategic transformation of the Performance Management, Coaching & Feedback, and Career Development within the People Technology solution ecosystem initially with a focus on the implementation of a Workday solution.
This role will partner with key internal teams, engage in customer research, execute data driven prioritization to design, build, and launch initiatives related to Objective and Key Result measurements, supporting both customer needs and business objectives. As a champion of your strategy and customers, you will evangelize your strategy and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.
Individuals coming into these roles will have a proven track record of owning and delivering world-class customer experiences. In addition, these individuals will have to be data driven and a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and, along with your team, drive them to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Set the strategic vision and priorities for a Product team in partnership with Engineering, User Experience, & Research teams
Influence Product Manager peers with value-based thinking to define and mature their targeted key results
Identify new opportunities, define the business case, and drive organizational alignment
Prioritize and plan the resources needed to deliver key projects on budget and on time
Become familiar and able to support product team budget and financial goals
Conduct performance reviews, development planning, and other people management responsibilities for direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
4 or more years of experience working on large-scale system implementations, testing, and training efforts.
2 or more years of relevant Product Management Experience (Dev, UX, Strategy, etc.)
1 or more years of experience with direct people management and/or team management / leadership
1 or more years of relevant experience in strategy creation, customer focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 or more years of large-scale product or program management experience
4 or more years of experience owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple technology teams
2 or more years of direct people management experience
Servant leadership style; high level of emotional intelligence, ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity, and expert influencing skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality
