Many of the industry’s leading organizations depend on FlashBlade to power their data infrastructure. AI supercomputers and bleeding-edge deep learning systems are built on FlashBlade. From SaaS companies requiring high-performance backup and restore capabilities to the world’s biggest telecom service providers analyzing petabytes of data, FlashBlade is at the center of our customers’ most mission-critical environments.

As Principal Product Manager for FlashBlade, you will be deeply committed to understanding the FlashBlade product, the customer’s needs and delivering products that delight them.

Define products, features and requirements - future product strategy with sustainable and compelling differentiation based on customer needs, competitive analysis, market and technology trends.

Drive execution of roadmap feature tradeoffs, prioritization and requirements for FlashBlade offerings.

Collaborate with engineering on product design and use cases.

Support and enable the product and solutions teams to design cross-business unit solutions.

Foster an active ecosystem of customers and partners - interface with technology partners and vendors, both from the perspective of understanding the technology/product roadmap and influencing them to align with Pure strategy.

Advocate for net new feature requirements across multiple Business Units based on compelling data driven information and presentation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

Strategic leadership and strong business acumen

Proven track record of developing a vision, strategy and execution plan for a product or product line

Hands on experience shipping products - product lifecycles, release milestones, from concept inception to product end-of-life include use of tools like JIRA as a communications vehicle for requirements

8 years of combined experience in product management and cloud technology roles

Experience working with/building products on one or more public cloud providers eg. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Deep understanding of cloud business models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

Market understanding data protection and data lifecycle

Strong presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Critical problem solving ability

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects
