This role will serve as an active partner with the Procurement team and enterprise leaders to develop data driven insights focused on spend reporting, detailed savings analysis, and forecasting. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the power of data and the opportunity to build and drive capabilities in a data-rich Fortune 200 company.Roles and Responsibilities:
Employs strong consulting skills and business acumen to advise business leaders on workforce opportunities to drive optimization of procurement performance: cost reduction, cost avoidance, portfolio rationalization, scaling, supplier consolidation.
Supports the Procurement Leadership Team to identify business challenges; use fact-based solutions and data analysis to help influence changes to operations, process or programs; and, champions movement to an organizational ‘Lead with Data’ mindset.
Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
Leads Procurement-specific program evaluation and program outcomes analyses.
Provides guidance, training and subject matter expertise to teams and employees in asking appropriate questions, selecting the right metrics, interpreting the data and translating data into actionable recommendations.
Drive partnerships with Procurement and IT teams and vendors to deliver necessary data management tools and system solutions.
Maintains and ensures quality assurance of key data sets, reports and metrics that are relevant and insightful and highlight key trends in human capital dynamics.
Collaborates with subject matter experts across BI&A and Procurement to promote data governance and stewardship and to improve overall strategic and operational performance and insight.
Actively participates in external professional organizations and builds a powerful network to understand and shape the emerging analytical trends.
Requirements:
BA/BS in a quantitative major or concentration required; MBA or Masters preferred
5-10 years of experience developing and using advanced analytics and reporting techniques
2 years of experience in performing Procurement analytics
Deep experience in statistical analysis; understanding of pharmaceutical legislation and advanced knowledge of procurement processes preferred
Experience in supporting new capability development, pilots, and integration
Experience in leveraging methods such as Design Thinking and Human Center Design to generate high value questions.
Intellectual curiosity, creativity, strong attention to detail and execution skills, good communication skills.
Experience and knowledge of data security and privacy issues for a global company.
Ability to work in a fast paced global environment with multiple competing priorities
Experience working with tools across the analytic stack including data management, modelling and visualization tools; such as MapReduce/Hadoop, SPSS/R, SAS and Tableau, Workday
