\u003cp\u003eESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Manage revenue cycle, billing functions and staff, in a manner consistent with Clinica\u0026rsquo;s philosophy regarding staff development and effectiveness.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Contribute to effective teamwork within the billing function and finance department, as well as other departments within the organization.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Implement an effective departmental Quality Improvement Program and contributes to the company-wide quality program. \u0026bull; Develop and implement effective billing procedures, in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, etc., that maximize patient service revenue.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Ensure staff are trained and adherence with effective billing procedures.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Assist and make recommendations to the Revenue Cycle Director in managing third-party insurance participation, to include private-commercial insurance plans.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Become and remain knowledgeable of medical insurance practices and procedures, including specific contractual arrangements with all third party payers, both public and private, to include applicable managed care risk or other incentive-based arrangements.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Manage information in the NextGen database, including, but not limited to, provider/billing numbers, insurance information, CPT, HCPF, ICD-9, ICD-10, CDT, lab codes and charges.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Coordinate NextGen EPM upgrades and billing training with Clinica IT and Centura iPN.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Serve as resource to other clinic staff for primary billing issues/questions.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Ensure fee schedules are accurately entered into the NextGen system and are administered in accordance with Clinica\u0026rsquo;s financial policies.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Build a strong partnership with the Coding Manager.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u0026bull; Support the Corporate Compliance Officer in assuring compliance with federal, state, and company rules, regulations, policies etc.; with regard to billing processes.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u0026nbsp;A. Education / Experience\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/em\u003e\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e1. Bachelor\u0026rsquo;s Degree in Healthcare related field, Business Administration or applicable degree with an elementary understanding of accounting principles preferred.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e2. Three years medical office billing experience required, five years preferred.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e3. One-year Manager experience required, three years preferred.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e4. Billing experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center preferred.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cp\u003e2. Strong computer skills, to include experience with an electronic Medical Office Practice Management system required.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e3. Ability to analyze financial and statistical information required.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e4. Good team building skills required.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e5. Good organization skills required.\u003c/p\u003e
