Summary: The Customer Development Manager - Fresh Meats eCommerce Business, is responsible for growing Tyson’s eCommerce business and helping to define and execute the eCommerce strategy for Fresh Meats. This is a hybrid role with responsibilities in Strategy, Training, and everyday eCommerce Business Management. This individual will lead the eCommerce business by working directly with the BU’s, Field teams and Cross Functional counterparts and act subject matter expert.
The ideal candidate will have experience in eCommerce and Fresh Meats. They must have excellent communication skills, customer relationship skills, and strategy creation and development experience.
This role will be pivotal in accelerating Tyson’s eCommerce business to reach an aggressive sales target. They will be responsible for identifying current process gaps and developing solutions to address potential outages. Therefore, the ideal candidate is going to possess a ‘startup’ mentality and be able to ‘trailblaze’ unchartered territories within Tyson.
Responsibilities:
Every Day eCommerce Business Management
Owns delivery of the eCommerce AOP target
Leads development and execution of the Fresh Meat eCommerce strategy, with possible support of Deli and Poultry ad-hoc projects
Collaborates with the Field teams, Shopper Marketing and Brand Teams during eCommerce planning and decision-making periods, including the annual business planning process
Leads customer engagement meetings for eCommerce in partnership with the Sales teams
Partners with the Content team to identify and solve opportunities for improving the digital shelf
Partners with IT and other eCommerce team members to help improve Fresh Meats data visibility through eCommerce dashboard implementation
Collaborates with Category Management, Shopper Insights, Digital Capabilities, and the Customer team to identify category gaps and recommendations, including test and learn opportunities
Helps to oversee and manage one agency associate
eCommerce Training and Talent Development
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for eCommerce when engaging with sales teams and other cross-functional partners
Lead training work sessions with Account Teams as part of the account planning process
Identify eCommerce skill gaps and work with Sales Training to develop training content for the sales teams to upskill
Champion eCommerce Training events such as sessions at the National Sales Meetings, planning meetings, and other instances where eCommerce knowledge and direction is delivered
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors required, MBA preferred, in related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years total CPG industry experience (eCommerce or traditional)
2 years of eCommerce experience preferred
2 years for Fresh Meat experience preferred
People Management and Strategy Development experience strongly preferred
MUST be a self-starter and intellectually curious.
Very comfortable with ambiguity and developing new processes, ways of working
Communication Skills: Highly collaborative – with an ability to lead through influence
Location: Chicago or Springdale preferred, remote will be considered
Travel: 6-8 domestic trips annually
