SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities. C heck daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.

Ensure every position is filled before production line start-up and ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible. E nsure all workstations pass USDA inspection. Promote safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings. Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products. K now and communicate company benefits and compensation policies to and provide encouragement to hourly Tm's to build the best team possible. Ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retention and counseling on personal and professional problems. O versee processing operations and working with other supervisors to solve problems, keep records of reworked or returned product and provide continuous education on the importance of quality. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic computer skills required. Strong communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

Resume is required: Resume must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills and educational information

Must have 1 years’ work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork processing.

High school diploma: education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.

Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities then external candidates.
