Job Summary

Broadband has become Comcast’s hero product and now more than ever our customers depend on the fast, reliable & secure connectivity that the Connect Living team helps provide. We know that each household is unique and has different connectivity needs which is why one of our central tenets is to make WiFi Personal. This means identifying and fixing issues before they are noticed. It means providing transparency around service delivery. It means providing help that is tailored to a customer’s specific problem. It means creating incredibly simple digital tools that empower everyone, including non-technical users, to identify and solve problems on their own and to seamlessly connect them with an agent or technician when they can’t. Reporting to the Sr Director, WiFi Experience, you, as the Senior Product Manager, Personal WiFi Diagnostics, will supervise the product strategy, design, and development of our suite of connectivity diagnostics tools. These solutions will provide a consistent and empowering experience through easy-to-use and elegant client application interfaces. Working in partnership with the engineering team and key stakeholders from the business and care teams, you will define, drive and deliver solutions which will provide customers the tools they need to understand and manage their connectivity. Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Define the Personal WiFi diagnostics product strategy, product roadmap, and measurements of success.

Take a data-driven product approach in order to report on and optimize against those measurements of success.

Own development across the following product lifecycle phases – product delivery, deployment, and optimization.

Interact with a multi-disciplinary project team using the Agile/Scrum methodology to provide constant feedback throughout the development effort.

Lead and achieve balance between business, technical, and user requirements while tracking to budget.

Prioritize issues based on perceived user value, metrics, and release planning, fulfill the product role within the scrum team, own the product backlog, and write user stories and acceptance criteria.

Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning and product demo sessions, inviting appropriate partners as needed.

Set, communicate, and keep the team focused on sprint goals.

Maintain responsibility for the detailed roadmap and release planning.

Gain and maintain domain expertise in our rapidly evolving industry.

Lead in the transformation from incubation to deployment, maintaining both broad and in-depth knowledge of customers and stakeholders.

Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the Company, including business units and engineering teams.

Solicit constant feedback from users of the platform.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

Product management experience – be good at defining and delivering successful products in the digital space.

Familiarity with UX design – have knowledge of UX best practices and an ability to guide visual design.

Agile experience – be familiar with and have experience in Agile/Lean Development environments.

Validate market problems – be able to identify and validate the value of market needs before significant resources are committed to build product.

Product definition – create clear, detailed, and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to convey concepts and ideas to the cross functional Agile team.

Roadmaps and Releases –manage release plans and roadmaps to convey delivery plans to all stakeholders.

Background – preferably have a background product development or software development.
