Description
Humana is looking for a Director to build and lead a team of talented coaches that support our enterprise agility strategy and rollout. In this role, you will use your extensive expertise to serve as a role model and leader through coaching and mentoring those key mindset, principles, practices, behaviors, and values needed to transform the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in Agile transformation, and a good understanding or gain an understanding of Humana's current Agility strategy.
Responsibilities
The Director, Agile Coaching will work to embed agility within the Humana by influencing both the culture, mindset and behaviors across the organization. This includes direct leadership of a team of enterprise coaches to effect change at leadership, portfolio, program and team levels, as well as through the sponsorship/guidance of various Communities of Practice (COPs) that support critical Agile roles. The role will also lead our upskilling initiative through the identification and coordination of enterprise training in agility and building capabilities to support new Agile efforts and competency areas.
Responsibilities
Coach/mentor business segment Agile members, leads, executives, managers and product managers in the Lean and scaled-Agile mindset, principles, practices, behaviors, and values needed to transform the organization
Building credibility with Humana business and IT leadership by demonstrating thought leadership beyond what is currently available within the current organization and building a path to Agile maturity.
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
Lead/coach teams, across a variety of disciplines, outside of IT, delivering results through agility that meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
Standardizing tools, templates, and processes across the enterprise and tailoring them according to need.
Develop and coordinate tailored rollout plans in partnership with the enterprise Agile coaches
Participate in and enhance Agile Coach Communities of Practice (COPs)
Foster unified development strategies inclusive of DevOps, QA, Architecture, and UX integrated into a customer-driven Agile strategy
Lead the development and delivery of a training curriculum that will help mature the organizations knowledge of agility
Leads the design as appropriate of organizational changes and act as a change agent working collaboratively with business and functional leaders to motivate and drive change and facilitate communities using Agile principles to ensure sustained adoption.
Key Candidate Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Proven experience in leading complex initiatives, coaching, and training; formal training experience with large, cross-functional teams is preferred
Is a subject matter expert in the application of Agile framework events to redefine business processes.
Proven expertise in delivering business value gained from experience working as an Agile coach, Lean Coach or Scrum Master, using design thinking and lean principles, promoting innovation and taking appropriate risks to challenge the status quo.
5 years of experience with one or more Agile development methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
Familiarity and experience with Agile engineering practices like Test Automation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevOps, etc.
Certified in one or more of the following: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or other Agile related certifications.
Proficiency in business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport at all levels within the organization
Ability to interact with and defend position with senior management
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare services
Experience with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, ADO
SAFe SPC strongly preferred
