Aon is Looking for an Associate Director – Reinsurance  As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Reinsurance Solutions line. Your Impact as an Associate Director – ReinsuranceAs part of the Broker team, you will work closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of structured reinsurance solutions, including loss portfolio transfers and/or adverse development covers. Is willing to participate in helping in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities Job ResponsibilitiesIdentifies specific client and prospect needs and develops innovative and cost-effective solutionsMaintains at all times, a thorough understanding and knowledge of all available Aon resources and solutions available, and matching those to client business requirementsAchieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional serviceFosters and promotes a team approach to both internal and external business relationshipsHas a direct focus on broking alternative / structured reinsurance solutionsDevelops comprehensive relationships with key structured markets and is always knowledgeable about current risk appetite and market dynamicHas a direct focus on broking alternative / structured reinsurance solutionsIs willing to participate in helping in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunitiesDevelops comprehensive relationships with key structured markets and is always knowledgeable about current risk appetite and market dynamicWorks closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of structured reinsurance solutions, including loss portfolio transfers and/or adverse development coversRequired Education, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a technical core a positive but not required. Examples include ACAS, FCAS, ASA, FSA, bachelors or masters in a math focused concentration, like applied statistics, mathematics, etc. A minimum of 5 years broking and/or underwriting commercial lines experience, with a focus on property and casualty insurance linesA minimum of 5 years in a technical / analytical role, for example, prior work as an actuary, catastrophe modeling or capital modelingPreferred Skills and ExperienceExcellent knowledge and understanding of reinsurance Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationshipsExcellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clientsEntrepreneurial attitude with keen negotiation, business acumen and problem solving skillsStrong organization and time management skills, able to multi task and manage projectsAbility to work independently as a self-starter; committed to delivering the highest in client service, quality and resultsThe ability to embrace change in support of the business unit’s and company’s goalsProficient, if not expert knowledge and skills with Microsoft Excel or like application (e.g., programming in R or Python)Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applicationsProfessional demeanor with positive attitudeAbility to travel About Aon Reinsurance:Aon Reinsurance Solutions, a division of Aon plc, is the world’s leading reinsurance intermediary and full-service capital advisor.
