Position Overview We are seeking a Product Manager with a strong desire to be the product owner for Siemens tiastarTM, our IEEE/ANSI low-voltage motor control center product line. The Product Manager will develop, implement and monitor the product line’s R&D roadmap and go-to-market strategy while working closely with our industrial, construction, and utility sales forces. In addition to strategy, the Product Manager will be responsible for defining, executing, and achieving both short-term and long-term financial objectives for the product lines within the United States. Responsibilities The Product Manager will be the steward of the product line and will be accountable for achieving financial targets defined for these product lines. A culture of ownership and the ability to collaborate across business functions and business units will be essential for success. The Product Manager will monitor the market, competitors, and customers, and translate trends into the R&D roadmap for tiastarTM. The Product Manager will also coordinate and monitor development of new features from concept to launch. Additionally, the Product Manager will support sales and business development of tiastarTM and provide advanced and comprehensive technical application assistance for key sales opportunities. Experience in working with customers in varied industries in the area of power distribution is important. Comprehensive knowledge of power distribution networks and system protection is required. Plan and coordinate product line life cycle and portfolio enhancement through business case prioritization. Excellent analytical skills are a must.Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • 5 to 10 years business development or product management experience of medium-voltage distribution products, preference given to experience with switchgear and motor controls. • Good understanding of utility, construction and industrial operations and channels to market. • Hands on experience with medium-voltage distribution products. • Experience with business plans, forecasting and order management. • Electrical Engineering Background is a plus. • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time including some international travel.
