Humana is building a best-in-class Marketing organization to drive profitable membership growth across diverse business lines. The Marketing Operations & Technology team is a part of Humana's Marketing & Communications organization, supporting marketing initiatives across the full consumer lifecycle. Having a solid foundation of capabilities and operational efficiencies that are modern & platforms-based is imperative to executing efficient and effective marketing strategies across all insurance segments (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, Individual Specialty and Employer Group) and healthcare services segments (i.e. Pharmacy, Clinical, Home and CDO). We are seeking a talented leader to join our team in the role of Director, Marketing Technology Strategy reporting to Associate VP Marketing Technology.
The Director, Marketing Technology Strategy will lead MarTech Strategy and technology driven transformation of enterprise-wide marketing and communication capabilities. This is a high impact and highly visible leadership role that interfaces with senior leaders to enable their strategies through MarTech solutions. This requires the ability to see the big picture and deliver next-gen MarTech solutions that help business deliver personalized, simple and caring communications.
Responsibilities
The Director, Marketing Technology Strategy is accountable for roadmap and transformation of marketing campaigns to customer-centric communication journeys that supports full consumer lifecycle (acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention). S/he will lead a team and partner with all marketing and business teams to ensure marketing and communication capabilities are enabled to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
Integrates technologies into viable capabilities that support core marketing and business operations.
Leads a team responsible for enabling business strategy through marketing technology capabilities.
Acts as marketing technology steward; managing all aspects across the lifecycle of the consumer (acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention)
Creates and executes the roadmap for evolution & integration of marketing capabilities and needs
Collaborates with various departments to ensure capabilities are aligned with business needs and shared across enterprise.
Liaises effectively with peers in the marketing organization to ensure that we're anticipating their needs; proactively planning capabilities, and leaning in for adoption.
Collaborates with functional delivery teams to plan for and prioritize new functionality; including people and process enablers
Lead by example by emulating behaviors consistent with the new ways of working and Humana's values
Key Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing, technology or product management leadership and will be a strong people leader with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of the team. This person will have strong ability technology, database and project management ability; along with proven analytical skills and the ability to support multiple priorities. He/she will have a Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as business, engineering or computer science (preferably). An MBA is strongly preferred.
In addition to the above, the following technical qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:
Deep experience in enterprise software solutions and marketing suites such as Adobe and Salesforce.com is required
Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant details to deliver solutions.
Grow team talent to keep pace with changing MarTech landscape and industry trends.
Extensive functional expertise in marketing domain is required. Ability to transform & integrate platforms technologies for marketing use to optimize campaign development & execution
Understanding of marketing metrics and program measurement
Strong product management skills, especially with strong interface to product marketing and product engineering in an agile environment.
Strong detail-orientation and problem-solving skills as it pertains to technical implementation techniques for orchestrating marketing operations.
Experience in managing change by leading and energizing others, modeling adaptability, and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity.
Ability to engage, educate, influence and guide others at all levels on the power of marketing as a business discipline to achieve company growth/retention goals and expand a brand
Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company (i.e., Fortune 100), with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome
Experience managing external vendor relationships
Prior health insurance industry experience is preferred. Experience in regulated industries like financial services or insurance is a big plus.

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
