POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Business Development is a key member of PVH’s Corporate Strategy & Business Development team, reporting to the SVP, Head of Strategy & Business Development. This team is responsible for developing corporate strategy, ensuring execution of strategic initiatives and driving M&A and partnerships. The Senior Director will assist in all facets of corporate strategy formulation and planning, special strategic / transformation projects and business development / M&A activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Analyze and synthesize vast amounts of information, understand the details supporting the analysis and transform data into actionable insights.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends, competitive landscape, and consumers and deliver business and market insights to facilitate decision-making, enable execution.
Drive financial modeling and scenario planning and provide ad hoc analytics and project management as needed, including providing input on assumptions, levels of return and strategic value to PVH.
Bring an analytical foundation to all work; partner and coordinate across the organization to support the strategic planning process and define initiative scope, success metrics, and high-level milestones.
Prepare presentations to board of directors, senior management, and other internal teams, on various topics including strategic direction, opportunities and updates on execution and transactions.
Manage the M&A transaction process from identification of potential targets to transaction close and transition services, leveraging prior M&A knowledge and experience. Develop, analyze, and prioritize business cases for high potential opportunities including assessment of operational, accounting, tax, legal, financing and human resource implications that a proposed transaction would have on PVH and make recommendations on transaction terms.
Coordinate large and complex transaction teams comprised of members from the business unit, corporate functions and external resources such as outside legal counsel, advisors, consulting and accounting teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
10+ years of investment banking, consulting and/or in-house corporate finance & strategy experience
Project management, leadership and solid ability to problem-solve creatively
Experience driving broad, cross-functional, cross-market strategic initiatives from definition to execution in a complex, matrixed organization, marrying both quantitative and qualitative analysis
Deep and nuanced understanding of the apparel/fashion industry including bricks-and-mortar, ecommerce, and preferably wholesale channels
Experience operating in international markets; an understanding of non-US business operations and comfort traveling to and communicating with international stakeholders
Experience in managing international M&A transactions and a deep understanding of operational, accounting, tax, legal, financing and human resource implications of a potential transaction
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, MBA preferred
