Aon is looking for an Underwriting Manager II As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk in Ft. Wayne, IN Your impact as an Underwriting Manager II This position is accountable for implementing underwriting standards and best practices for the various programs from the K&K Business Units handled in the Small Commercial Unit (SCU). Directing the division’s underwriting team to ensure that underwriting results for its programs are consistent with established U/W and processing guidelines and profitable for both the company and the insuring carrier(s). Essential Job FunctionsDirect and coordinate the activities of division underwriters to ensure consistent application of underwriting guidelines and appropriate underwriting results.Review and evaluate the underwriting performance of division business to ensure appropriate loss ratios, meeting various state date renewal processing; direct and coordinate any necessary remedial actions in concert with Sr. VP Operations.Evaluate the performance of division underwriters, provide coaching and training as needed, and recommend appropriate compensation changes in accordance with the company’s performance management process.Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with account representatives in order to enhance their performance in retaining clients.Conduct periodic audits of underwriting files assigned to subordinates to ensure that quality, timeliness, and consistent best practices are being achieved.Provide advice and guidance to Business Unit Leader on regulatory matters and administrative procedures to ensure full compliance with state insurance department requirements for issuing policies and related documents.Work with the Genpact U/W/Operations team members to assure the polices are being underwritten and issued accurately/properly and timely to meet the various state date requirements.   Complete a variety of underwriting and management assignments at the direction of the K&K Sr. VP Operations.RequirementsP&C LicenseBachelor’s degree or commensurate education and/or work experience10-15 years of demonstrated proficient technical underwriting expertiseDemonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage othersWe offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. Our Colleague Experience: From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
