Job Summary
Job Description
DUTIES: Manage teams within the FreeWheel Engineering department, responsible for maintaining software applications used by cable, broadcast TV, and radio media sales, as well as media buying customers, for proposal and campaign management and stewardship, research analysis, and billing, invoicing, and execution system integration; manage software development teams and quality assurance personnel and the delivery of software developed and maintained by the department; participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum environment; define timelines, and design and build software, using the following software engineering tools: Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, .Net, NuGet, SQL Server, Web API, SmartBear Swagger, Jenkins ; participate in QA processes used to test software applications; use the following software QA tools: Gurock Test Rail, SmartBear TestComplete and TestExecute; deliver final artifacts; coordinate and prioritize team members' tasks; ensure that software development best practices and processes are being followed; supervise quality assurance, automation testing, and software engineering teams; summarize and communicate project status updates to stakeholders; evaluate performance, provide coaching, and hire personnel; act as the liaison with external team contacts in the Product, Client Engagement and Account Management, and Software Architecture departments; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. In performing duties, travel less than 10% domestically.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience participating in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum environment; participating in QA processes used to test software applications; and summarizing and communicating project status updates to stakeholders; of which five (5) years must include using the following software engineering tools: Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, .Net, NuGet, SQL Server; using the following software QA tools: Gurock Test Rail, SmartBear TestComplete; and managing software development teams.
