NeoPhotonics names Sitler VP of worldwide sales
NeoPhotonics Corporation, a well-known manufacturer of optical components for the telecommunications industry, has promoted Benjamin Sitler to vice president of worldwide sales. Previously, he served the company as its vice president for tunable products. In his new role, Mr. Sitler will direct the sales force in four continents as well as oversee the company's channel and distribution partnerships. Mr. Sitler brings to NeoPhotonics more than 20 years of sales and executive management experience in the telecommunications and electronics industries. Confirming Sitler's promotion, Tim Jenks, chairman and CEO of NeoPhotonics, said, "We are excited to announce Ben's promotion and look forward to his contribution across our multiple product lines serving long-haul to access markets and key customers in multiple geographies."
Smurfit-Stone appoints John Lingle VP, sheet-feeder region
Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation has appointed John Lingle vice president of the company's corrugated-container division's sheet-feeder region. Lingle's previous rank in the company was general manager. In his new role, Lingle will oversee the company's three sheet-feeding facilities and will be responsible for developing business plans to expand Smurfit-Stone's sheet-feeding business. Lingle was also one of the founding members of Innovative Packaging in Milwaukee, WI, and served as its president since its inception in 1997. The company later merged with Smurfit-Stone. Lingle has more than 27 years of experience and has held various management positions with Stone Container Corporation and other companies. Based in North America, Smurfit-Stone is a well-known manufacturer of paperboard and paper-based packaging.
Zila promotes Diane E. Klein VP of finance
Zila, Inc. has promoted Diane E. Klein to vice president of finance. She will assume additional responsibilities as the principal financial officer of the company. The move was in response to the resignation of the chief financial officer, Lawrence A. Gyenes. Prior to the promotion, Klein served as vice president and treasurer, a position she had held since June of 2004. She joined the company as its director of finance in August 2003. Klein comes to Zila from Bay Area Foods, Inc., where she served as vice president-finance. Prior to that, she held financial/accounting positions at various companies such as Southwest Supermarkets, LLC, MegaFoods Stores, Inc., and the Circle K Corporation. She also worked for Arthur Andersen & Co., in Phoenix, as the senior manager. Located in Phoenix, Zila, Inc. is an oral cancer screening company established to prevent and treat oral disease.
