Mary Gelormino joins Sovereign Bank as senior VP
Mary Gelormino has joined Sovereign Bank as senior vice president/regional executive and will be responsible for business development in the metropolitan New York area. Commenting on the new appointment, Thomas Iadanza, commercial banking president of the Metro NY-NJ Division, said that Gelormino's extensive experience and professional expertise would assist the bank in meeting the requirements of middle-market businesses in the metropolitan region. Gelormino comes to Sovereign Bank from Bank of America, where she was serving as senior vice president and client relations manager. Her early career was spent at Fleet Bank and its predecessors NatWest and NBNA for 25 years.
Frank Fernandez promoted to vice president of government programs at Blue Cross
Frank Fernandez is the new vice president of government programs at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross). After his promotion, Fernandez will be responsible for directing all local (non-regional) government businesses including operations and program management for Medicare, Medicaid, and the Federal Employee Program. His expertise in government business operations, law, and compliance will be a great asset to the company, said Patsy Riley, senior vice president of government programs and chief executive officer of Comprehensive Managed Care. Fernandez joined Blue Cross in December 2005 as a Medicare attorney. He was previously associated with the UnitedHealthcare and Ovations law departments, where he served as Medicare compliance manager.
ResortQuest promotes Trevor Hind to general manager of southwest Florida division
ResortQuest, a leading name in vacation rental and resort real estate companies, has promoted Trevor Hind to general manager of the southwest Florida division. Hind's extensive industry experience and leadership skills will help him execute his new responsibilities said Larry Starr, president of ResortQuest Southwest Florida. In his new position, Hind will be overseeing ResortQuest's 75 employees serving in nine offices including Bradenton, Sarasota, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, and Naples. An Australian native, Hind brings to ResortQuest more than 20 years of hospitality experience. Previously, he served in various capacities at hotels such as The Regent Hotel & Resorts, Starwood Hotels &Resorts, and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. Prior to joining ResortQuest, Hind was associated with the Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key, Florida.
