MTV Music Television has appointed Dan Hart as senior vice president and general manager of MTV Digital. Hart has previously served MTV Networks as vice president of online games strategy and operations. His expertise is in business strategies and the development of online products. In his new position, he will be responsible for working on growth and product development.
Hart, after joining MTV networks back in 2004, has led the team that developed game play properties across MTVN sites, and made games based on shows with high ratings. MTV Networks is a division of Viacom International, Inc., and is one of the global leaders in original programming and content across all media platforms.
Levin appointed as new ITA GM and CTO
The City of Los Angeles's Information and Technology Agency (ITA) has hired Randi Levin as the new chief technology officer and general manager. Levin has been former vice president and group information officer with NBC Universal. In her new position as general manager, Levin will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining the information technology (IT) plan for Los Angeles. Levin has vast experience in managing IT departments for leading Fortune 500 companies. She has been serving as vice president for NBC Universal for the last eight years, and has also worked at various posts with companies like Walt Disney Company, Goldman Sachs & Co, L.A. Gear, Inc., and Price Waterhouse.
Fleetwood appoints new GM
Allan Reeping will join Fleetwood Folding Trailers as the general manager of Somerset Township. Reeping will replace John Green, who retired from the organization 2 1/2 years back, though he's been helping the Somerset unit since. Green has served Fleetwood for 33 years. In 1996, Reeping joined the Somerset division as sales manager and got promoted as the national sales manager in 2005. Somerset, PA-based Fleetwood Folding Trailers produces folding trailer products in the recreational vehicle industry.
Semex USA appoints new GM
The Semex Alliance has hired Joe Horkan as general manager of Semex USA. The new appointment will be effective from July 3, 2007, and Horkan will manage Semex USA business operations at its Wisconsin office. Horkan has served at various sales management positions and has vast industry experience spanning 20 years. Most recently he was associated with DeLaval, Inc., for a period of seven years as group solutions manager. A subsidiary of the Semex Alliance (Guelph, Ontario), Semex USA is dedicated to sales and marketing. It provides breeding material to dairy and beef producers in the U.S.
Sullivan is new GM for Morongo Casino
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has named Sean Sullivan as general manager of its $250 million Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, spread across 44 acres in Southern California. Sullivan joins his new position with 25 years of gaming industry experience. Sullivan has served Olympia Gaming, LLC, as chief operating officer since May 2005. He was responsible for project development and core business operations for the casino. He has also been vice president and general manager for Mountain High Casino Resort in Black Hawk, CO. Sullivan will replace Bill Davis, who opened the new Morongo casino resort in November 2004.
